As per our previous report, Gramedia and Kadokawa have announced their collaboration in a joint venture partnership. This project is now established under the name Phoenix Gramedia Indonesia.
Phoenix Gramedia Indonesia (PGI) is initiated by the joint venture between Kadokawa and Gramedia with its goal to bring more variety to the publishing industry by licensing intellectual property Gramedia Indonesia parties under Kadokawa’s brand. These IPs, including comics and light novels, will be distributed via Gramedia bookstores and Indonesian marketplaces.
On Thursday (4/4), Phoenix Gramedia Indonesia hinted that they will release Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feeling in Russian or Roshidere light novel. Further details such as release dates and suggested retail price have not been announced yet.
Written by SunSunSun and illustrated by Momoco, the novel tells the story of a Russian student Alya who studies in a Japanese high school. Alya often complains to her classmate Masachiko Kuze but occasionally also makes flirtatious remarks in her native Russian language. However, she does not realize that Masachika understands Russian.
The novel was originally published on the novel publishing website Shousetsuka ni Narou in 2020. It was then acquired by Kadokawa, who has published the novel since February 2021 under their Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko imprint.
Previously, the publisher also hinted at the release of Mushoku Tensei – Jobless Reincarnation, Overlord, The Eminence in Shadow, and Classroom of the Elite. However, the post has been taken down by the publisher.
