Lokapala, the first Southeast Asia MOBA game, has released a video trailer for their newest knight. In this trailer, the knight shown is Sena, one of the central knights in this game.
This video trailer is titled “Menaki: Menentang Takdir”. Menaki, which is a word taken from Sanskrit, is the main theme in this video trailer. This video features Sena from the game Lokapala and Karna, one of the puppet characters.
Karna and Sena are two different individuals but their destinies are intertwined. Apart from their almost similar stories, they also have the same strong determination for their future. Karna in the Mahabharata epic is described as a person who is persistent and never gives up. Even though he was not of Kshatriya descent, his persistence proved that Karna was also worthy of being a Kshatriya.
Sena, like Karna, initially lacked skill in archery. However, Sena never stops practising, hoping that her younger sibling will recognize her. Karna and Sena know that their destiny has been determined, but both of them believe that they can change their existing destiny.
Sena is ‘Murti’ or the reincarnation of Karna. That’s why Sena is under the auspices of Sang Dikara in the Southwest, because she has the same values of integrity and discipline as Karna. Even though she grew up in a simple family, Sena’s adoptive father taught her many things about life, so Sena could be a strong woman. She also gained her strength through hard work, making Sena a human who transcended her own destiny. However, it does not mean that Sena can change her written destiny: to defeat her own brothers.
The trailer has been broadcast on Lokapala’s social media and YouTube channel.
The trailer is created thanks to the hard work of Lokapala game developer teams, Caravan Studio, and Enspire. This video trailer also features the voice of Gema Gathika and a song composed by Elwin Hendrijanto.
The presence of this Sena character trailer video shows how serious Anantarupa Studios is in working on their Intellectual Property (IP) through Lokapala. The rich content material in the Lokapala IP also provides flexibility in developing stories on platforms other than games.
