Previously, during Hololive Next special stream on 7 September 2026, Hololive announced their upcoming anime project. At that time, hololive only revealed the shortened anime title OdeHolo, along with a first video teaser on YouTube, and Studio KAI would handle the project.
On 23 September 2026, Japanese VTuber agency Hololive revealed more details about their latest anime project during a special livestream. The livestream aired as part of the agency’s 10th-anniversary celebrations, where hololive and the anime production committee revealed the anime’s official title, Odekake hololive.
In addition, the stream also revealed a new key visual, the anime’s official website, the production staff, and more details about the first episode. Yukihana Lamy, Shishiro Botan, Omaru Polka, and Momosuzu Nene will appear in the first episode, which will be set in Nagano Prefecture.
For the production staff, Shunsuke Machitani (Uma Musume Pretty Derby, FUUTO PI) is announced as the director. Ori Yasukawa is credited as the assistant director, Kodai Minami (Studio KAI) handled the screenplay and series composition, and Masatoshi Tsuji is the character designer, with COVER Corporation developing the original story.
Odekake hololive (or Odeholo for short) series is an upcoming project from hololive that will highlight the stories of hololive members on their days off as they explore various regions across Japan in an omnibus format. For every episode, the talents will enjoy local culinary delights and participate in a wide range of region-specific activities.
