On Friday (10/3), book publisher Elex Media Komputindo announced that the first volume of Blue Box and Arakawa Under the Bridge will be released in Indonesia on 23 March 2023. Further information about the release format and retail price have not been informed yet.

Blue Box (Japanese Title: Ao no Hako) tells the story of Taiki Inomata, a student at Eimei Junior and Senior High who is a member of the boys’ badminton team. Every morning, he trains alongside his upperclasswoman and romantic crush Chinatsu Kano, who is on the girls’ basketball team. But when Chinatsu’s parents leave Japan to work aboard, she ends up living in the same house with Taiki, whose mother is a good friend of Chinatsu’s mother. The manga began its serialization on April 12, 2021, in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump. In Indonesia, Blue Box is also available digitally on Sueisha’s digital manga platform Manga Plus.
Written and illustrated by Hikaru Nakamura, Arakawa Under the Bridge tells the story of Kou Ichinomiya, a man who refuses to be indebted to another person. One day, a girl named Nino helps him when he falls into the Arakawa river. Unable to accept the fact that he is indebted to her, Kou asks Nino if he can repay her. Nino’s reply, however, is for Kou to fall in love with her. The manga was first serialized in Square Enix’s Young Gangan from December 2004 to July 2015.
Elex Media Komputindo is a comics publisher under the Kompas-Gramedia Group. The publisher releases licensed foreign comics, including manga, and also Indonesian comics. Since 2005, Elex Media also published comics that were intended for adult audiences under the new imprint called Level Comics.
