Indonesian book publisher Elex Media Komputindo announced the first volume of The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity-Kaoru & Rin manga will be available in bookstores on 30 August 2023. The manga comes with a suggested retail price of IDR 45,000 (about US$ 2.95).

Written and illustrated by Saka Mikami, The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity-Kaoru & Rin tells the story of Rintarou Tsumugi, a student at Chidori Public High School who is avoided by people because of his intimidating face. One day, she met Kaoruko Waguri at his family’s cake shop. Kaoruko is not afraid of his scary demeanour, and Rintarou easily forms a friendship with her. However, there’s one problem: Kaoruko is a student at the neighbouring Kikyo Private Academy, a school for wealthy people and people with good family backgrounds. In contrast, Chidori Public High School is a school that is full of delinquents and outcasts. Can they keep their friendship amidst the different social standings?
The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity-Kaoru & Rin has been serialized in Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket website app since 2021. The manga has been nominated for several awards, including the 2022 Next Manga Awards in the web manga category, the 47th Kodansha Manga Award in the shōnen manga category, and the 2022 Tsutaya Comic Awards.
