To celebrate its 26th anniversary, the Indonesian largest bank, Bank Mandiri, will host the Livin’ Gamers Festival 2024. Collaborating with Level Infinite, the festival will take place from 20-22 September 2024 at Tennis Indoor Senayan, Jakarta, under the theme Carnival of Kings.
Teuku Ali Usman, Bank Mandiri’s Corporate Secretary, highlighted the significance of this event as a testament to the bank’s commitment to supporting the creativity of young people while fostering a competitive spirit within the digital generation. Furthermore, the festival aims to offer a banking experience that is both adaptive and solution-oriented, tailored to the lifestyle of gamers through innovative digital financial solutions.
This initiative is backed by data from the Mandiri Institute, which shows that Indonesia is one of the largest gaming markets in Southeast Asia, boasting more than 100 million active gamers. Notably, approximately 60% of this gaming population consists of young individuals aged 18-34, driven by growing internet access and mobile device usage. Gaming has become one of the most popular forms of entertainment across the country.
“This aligns with Bank Mandiri’s beyond banking business strategy, where we aim to be a one-stop solution for lifestyle needs, actively engaging with Indonesia’s gaming ecosystem and encouraging the use of our SuperApp products, especially the Sukha feature,” Usman said.
Despite global economic challenges, the Indonesian gaming industry has shown remarkable resilience. The sector continues to grow, with an estimated market value of US$1.5 billion by 2024. Bank Mandiri is dedicated to supporting this growth through various initiatives, including this festival, which aims to connect gamers, developers, and other key stakeholders in the industry.
The festival offers a wide range of activities, including gaming community exhibitions, carnival games, and cosplay competitions. Visitors can also witness the final stage of the Honor of Kings Championship 2024 Indonesian qualifier. This competition will determine which team will represent Indonesia in the Honor of Kings Championship 2024, an international eSport tournament of Honor of Kings.
Tickets for the Livin’ Gamers Festival 2024 are available for IDR 0 through the Livin’ Sukha feature in the Livin’ by Mandiri app from 13-22 September 2024. The Sukha feature has become a go-to platform for customers, offering access to lifestyle services such as booking transport tickets, concert passes, and game vouchers—all within one application.
Meanwhile, Agung Chaniago, Country Head of Level Infinite Indonesia, expressed his excitement about the collaboration. He hopes the event will evolve into an annual occasion that strengthens Indonesia’s gaming ecosystem and provides opportunities for both amateur and professional players to enhance their gaming experiences, with seamless transactions enabled by the Livin’ Sukha feature.
The collaboration between Level Infinite and Bank Mandiri in the Livin’ Gamers Festival 2024 marks a strategic move to deliver high-quality entertainment and experiences to Indonesia’s gaming community. “Through this synergy, we are not only committed to advancing the esports and gaming ecosystem but also celebrating competitive spirit with the Final Stage Honor of Kings Championship 2024 Indonesia Qualifier, which will select Indonesia’s representatives for the global esports arena,” Agung stated.
Ali reiterated Bank Mandiri’s dedication to continuous innovation, aiming to holistically meet customer needs while delivering a beyond-banking experience with adaptive and solution-driven services.
