On 4 December 2024, Indonesian Virtual YouTuber agency, StarsLight Project, announced the contract termination of Shira Asteria on their social media. The decision was taken due to a contractual breach from the talent.

In the announcement, StarsLight Project explained the reasons behind her contract termination are due to:
- Violating the provisions regarding the expiration date of the agreement that has been agreed upon by both parties.
- Being undisciplined and irresponsible in carrying out the obligations stated in the agreed contract agreement.
The agency also states that Shira Asteria’s social media accounts, including her YouTube channel and her donation media would be closed one week after the announcement. StarsLight Project states that it takes this matter seriously and that it would put more effort in terms of providing instructions for their talents regarding compliance to agreements, in order to prevent similar incident like this in the future.
Shira Asteria started her debut as a part of StarsLight Project on 6 July 2024. She became a part of the StarsLight Project first generation with Nabila Carinae.
StarsLight Project is a VTuber agency based in Indonesia that currently focuses on producing virtual idols that specialise in singing. As of December 28, 2024, they have only one active Vtuber: Nabila Carinae.
