After interviewing both visitors and event staff, the KAORI Nusantara team also talked with three cosplayers who portrayed VTubers from Project:LIVIUM. They were Effore as Lillis Infernallies, Neechan as YuelaGuiGui, and Nami as Indira Naylarissa.
According to Effore, the most memorable aspect of being a maid was the ability to interact with visitors, especially when they shared stories that made them feel more human. She also noted that cosplaying as a VTuber differs from other characters due to the more complex and genuine personalities VTubers possess. Her biggest challenge as a VTuber cosplayer was matching the character’s unique Sundanese accent. She expressed admiration for the event, the opportunity to meet new people, the personality of Lillis Infernallies, and the delicious food, particularly the Chicken Katsu. She said she is looking forward to future events from Project:LIVIUM.
For Neechan, anticipating the presence of visitors was the most memorable part of being a maid. She also mentioned a slight difference between cosplaying as a VTuber and other characters, particularly in how VTubers have distinct personalities. Her challenge while portraying YuelaGuiGui was maintaining the character’s in-voice personality, as Yuela has a very distinctive voice. She also said the event was exciting and full of energy, especially since it was her first time participating in a maid cafe event. She suggested that future events should have more effective marketing and a longer promotional period so the event could reach more people.
As for Nami, who played Indira Naylarissa, her most memorable experience as a maid was how lively and enjoyable the event was, especially when visitors were asked to write their names and personal messages for the city of Depok. Nami explained that cosplaying as a VTuber is different because a VTuber has a more colourful personality, with a human presence hidden behind the avatar. She also emphasised the need to speak carefully, as maintaining a positive attitude is key in building the reputation of a VTuber, especially if the character is still new or relatively unknown.
According to Nami, the event was fun and featured a variety of games for both visitors and cosplayers to enjoy, giving it a unique flair. She hopes VTubers continue to grow in popularity in Indonesia and that future events become even bigger and more vibrant.
Conclusion
During the event, I enjoyed how lively it was, from the visitors who embraced every moment with joy, to the karaoke sessions by the maids that added energy and fun. There were plenty of games for visitors to enjoy, a talking session with the VTubers that made the gathering even more memorable, and even the event staff were fun, friendly, and professional in carrying out their duties.

Although this was the first time it was held, the Livium Valentine Maid Cafe event left a deeply positive impression on me. Despite the limited space and technical issues related to the internet connection, the event delivered an extraordinary surprise for participating visitors. From the fresh concept of combining a maid café with the VTuber world, executed remarkably well, to the enthusiasm of the visitors, the lively and fun atmosphere, the variety of games, the cosplayers who brought the unique concept to life, the professional, friendly, and engaging event staff, and the growing support from the community, everything contributed to its success. With the success of this maid cafe event, it’s exciting to anticipate what surprises Project:LIVIUM will bring to future events.
