On 14 March 2025, Medialink announced on their social media that COLORFUL STAGE! The Movie: A Miku Who Can’t Sing will be screened in theatres across Indonesia, with the film’s premiere scheduled for 9 May 2025.
COLORFUL STAGE! The Movie: A Miku Who Can’t Sing (Kowareta Sekai to Utaenai Miku) is an anime film based on the game Project Sekai: Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku, abbreviated as Puroseka. The game is a collaboration project between Crypton Future Media, SEGA, and Colorful Palette, a subsidiary of Craft Egg.
COLORFUL STAGE! The Movie: A Miku Who Can’t Sing follows the story of Ichika Hoshino who suddenly discovers a mysterious song titled Untitled on her smartphone. As soon as she plays the song, her surroundings begin to glow, and she is transported to another world where she meets Hatsune Miku, who invites her to sing together. The film was released in Japan on 17 January 2025, animated by P.A. Works and directed by Hiroyuki Hata.

This anime film project is not the first time Hatsune Miku has appeared in an anime. She has appeared as a cameo in several anime including Jashin-chan Dropkick. Puroseka game has also been adapted into a chibi-style anime Petit Seka. In addition to this project, Crypton Future Media, Graphic India, and Carlin West Agency were rumoured to be working together to produce an anime adaptation based on Hatsune Miku.
