On Friday (6/6), the X (formerly Twitter) account of Elex Media’s comic editor posted a list of their best-selling comic books in May 2025. One Piece volume 108 took the first place, followed by Kagurabachi volume 2 and Sakamoto Days volume 15 in the second and third place, respectively.

One Piece follows the adventures of Luffy, a boy who can stretch his body like rubber after eating a Devil Fruit. He wants to become the pirate king, so he and his pirate crew sail the seas in search of the One Piece, a legendary treasure hidden by the former pirate king Gol D. Roger.
Written and illustrated by Takeru Hokazono, Kagurabachi has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump since September 2023. It tells the story of Chihiro, the son of a famous swordsmith, who hopes to follow in his father’s footsteps. One day, his father is murdered by a gang of criminal sorcerers seeking his enchanted blades. Left alone, Chihiro vows to take revenge. The Kagurabachi manga is also available on MangaPlus in various languages, including Indonesian.
Sakamoto Days tells the story of a former assassin Taro Sakamoto, who has retired from the killing business to marry his loved one. Once a feared assassin, Sakamoto has become a chubby neighbourhood dad who runs a convenience store. However, danger once again lurked around his neighbourhood, and Sakamoto promised to protect his family. But can he do that with his overweight body?
Sakamoto Days began its serialisation in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump on 21 September 2020. The manga was nominated at the 2021 Next Manga Awards for the Best Print Manga category and the 68th Shogakukan Manga Award for the shounen category. In Indonesia, the manga is also available digitally on Shueisha’s digital manga platform Manga Plus.
