Legendary Japanese idol group Arashi officially brought their long-running career to a close on 31 May 2026 with the final performance of their farewell tour, ARASHI LIVE TOUR 2026: We are ARASHI, held at Tokyo Dome. The concert marked the end of the group’s remarkable 26-year journey since its debut in November 1999.

Since debuting with the single A・RA・SHI, the group, which consists of Satoshi Ohno, Sho Sakurai, Masaki Aiba, Kazunari Ninomiya, and Jun Matsumoto, have dominated the Japanese music industry throughout the 2000s and 2010s. Their immense popularity established them as one of the most influential icons of Japanese pop culture.

After entering an indefinite hiatus at the end of 2020, the members reunited in 2025 with a shared goal: to personally thank their fans. Plans for a farewell tour had previously been disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic, making it difficult for the group to say goodbye properly.

The We are ARASHI tour was subsequently held across five major dome venues throughout Japan. Over 15 performances, the tour attracted approximately 490,000 attendees, demonstrating the group’s enduring popularity despite several years of inactivity.

For their final concert, Arashi performed a total of 33 songs representing the group’s long and successful career. Popular tracks such as Love Rainbow, One Love, Monster, Love so Sweet, Happiness, and A・RA・SHI were among the highlights of the evening. One particularly memorable moment was the group’s first-ever live performance of Whenever You Call.

As the concert drew to a close, the members expressed their gratitude to fans who had supported them throughout more than two decades of activity.

Satoshi Ohno shared his happiness that the group had managed to remain together for 26 years without losing a single member. Meanwhile, Sho Sakurai delivered one of the night’s most memorable lines: “We are Arashi. No… we will always be Arashi.”

The concert concluded with Five, a song that symbolises Arashi’s gratitude towards its fans. With warm embraces on stage and their final farewells, Arashi officially brought one of the most historic and influential careers in Japanese entertainment to an end.
