Book publisher Elex Media Komputindo has announced plans to publish Learning to Love My Cat-like Classmate (Tonari no Neko to Koi Shirazu) in Indonesia. The manga is currently tentatively scheduled to be available in Indonesian bookstores around the first week of June.

From the Litaku YouTube channel.

The update was delivered through Litaku, a YouTube channel focused on manga, novels, and otaku-related literature, in a video that discusses the planned release date of various Elex Media publications. The channel is managed by Elex Media Komputindo and m&c!.

During the programme, the host explained that the release process is still undergoing revisions requested by the Japanese publisher, who asked for changes to the cover design.

Written and illustrated by Akinoko, Learning to Love My Cat-like Classmate tells the story of Minato Seno. He is a shy and lonely high school student who befriended his classmate Mugi Nekozane due to their shared interests in cats and photography. As time passes on, they slowly start to develop feelings for each other.

Learning to Love My Cat-like Classmate was first published on Akinoko’s Twitter account in November 2023. It later began parallel serialisation in Square Enix’s seinen manga magazine Monthly Big Gangan on 15 April 2024. As of April 2026, the chapters have been compiled into six tankoubon volumes.

Elex Media Komputindo is a comics publisher under the Kompas-Gramedia Group. The publisher releases licensed foreign comics, including manga, and also Indonesian comics. Since 2005, Elex Media has also published comics intended for adult audiences under the new imprint called Level Comics.
