The Dangers in My Heart: The Movie is set to be screened in Indonesian cinemas. Two cinema chains, CGV Cinemas Indonesia and Cinepolis Indonesia, have confirmed they will screen the film, which will premiere in Indonesia in September 2026. Based on the manga by Norio Sakurai, The Dangers in My Heart follows Kyotaro Ichikawa, a socially withdrawn middle school student who harbours dark fantasies about his classmates. His outlook gradually changes after he becomes acquainted with Anna Yamada, a popular girl in his class.
The manga has received a TV anime adaptation. The anime’s first season aired in 2023, followed by its second season in 2024. The series is currently available in Indonesia through Netflix.
The Dangers in My Heart: The Movie is a compilation film based on the events from the first and second seasons of the anime. The film also features additional footage not included in the television series.
