On Monday (7/9), Abu Dhabi-based game studio Red Dunes Games and Indonesian developer Agate have released Port of Jumanah, a 2.5D action roguelite adventure. The game is currently available on PC via Steam and Epic, and on PlayStation 5.

Port of Jumanah focuses on pearl diving, taking players into the depths of the sea to explore underwater environments, battle sea monsters and encounter various characters. Players can also recruit allies, upgrade their equipment and rebuild their port as they progress through the adventure.

The game is developed by both Red Dunes Games and Agate, while Red Dunes Games is credited as the sole publisher. The game is inspired by the pearl diving tradition of Emirati people. This tradition was the main source of income for Emirati people before the discovery of oil in the 1950s.

Red Dunes Games is a game studio based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Port of Jumanah is the studio’s second game released on Steam, following Princess of Water Lilies.

Founded in 2009, Agate is a game studio based in Bandung, West Java. Prior to this game, Agate also developed various games like Code AtmaValthirian Arc series, Esports King, and Memories: My Story, My Choice.
