Synopsis
Humans have created many stories, filled with joy, sadness, anger, and other emotions that charm people. However, these are only the thoughts of casual audience. But what if the characters in the story have their own will and intentions? To them, are humans like god-like existence for bringing their stories into being? In Re:CREATORS, the creations break into the realm of their gods, as characters from various works of fiction appear in the real world.
Comment
The director of Fate/Zero, Ei Aoki and Black Lagoon‘s creator Rei Hiroe teams up for this series, and in this episode, the result is mostly good. The prologue is especially captivating, as it builds the subtle thread between the protagonist Mizushino and the mysterious suicidal girl. A subtle foreshadowing using a clever montage and enthralling voice-over narration. Judging from the number of characters in it, 12 episodes may not be enough to do them all justice, so hopefully it will run longer than that.
