JKT48 Acoustic, a sub-unit of the idol group JKT48, has released their first original song titled “Lantang!” (lit.: “Loudly!”). The song is released to commemorate the first anniversary of the sub-unit, and is the first original song to be released by JKT48 since the group was founded in 2011.

The lyrics of the song is inspired from the efforts, perseverance, and hopes of the members of JKT48 Acoustic, as part of the JKT48 idol group.

The making of the song has not been an easy task, as aside from creating the lyrics and arrangements of the song, it also had to be approved by the management of the 48 groups in Japan.

JKT48 Acoustic is a sub-unit of the idol group JKT48, a sister group of the Japanese idol group AKB48. This sub-unit performs acoustic covers of various songs. The songs covered by JKT48 Acoustic include songs from 48 family of idol groups as well as other songs not from the groups. The members of JKT48 Acoustic are Fransisca Saraswati Puspa Dewi (Sisca), Nadila Cindi Wantari (Nadila), Ni Made Ayu Vani Aurellia (Aurel) dan Rona Anggreani (Rona).

The group that is based in their theater in fX Sudirman, South Jakarta, has previously released Indonesian versions of songs from 48 family of idol groups. The first song released by JKT48 was the Indonesian version of “Heavy Rotation.”

Melody, a member of JKT48’s first generation who has graduated in early 2018 and now acts as the idol group’s General Manager, has stated that other than “Lantang!”, the group is also preparing to release another original song created by Alam Urbach, a top Indonesian songwriter who has created a number of hit Indonesian songs.
