Indonesian comics publisher Elex Media Komputindo is releasing Yen Hioka‘s detective comedy manga The Black Detective (Kuro no Tantei) in Indonesia. The Twitter account of Elex Media’s editors of comics had first teased the title on 8 October 2020, and the first volume has been included in the list of comic book releases for 18 November 2020. According to the product listing at Gramedia.com, the book retails for Rp 28,000 (about US$ 2).

Elex Media’s synopsis of the manga describes the story as follows:

Yo Kuroba is an arrogant and sadistic high school detective. He enjoys his profession to torment criminals. And solving the crimes with him is his exceedingly naive assistant, Arata Toiro.

Elex Media’s editors of comics account have also posted a preview of some pages from the manga’s first volume

The Black Detective debuted in Square Enix’s Shounen Gangan magazine in 2013 and has finished with seven tankoubon volumes.

Elex Media Komputindo is a comics publisher under the Kompas-Gramedia Group. The publisher releases licensed foreign comics, including manga, and also Indonesian comics. Since 2005, Elex Media also published comics that intended for adult audiences under the new imprint called Level Comics.
