First serialized in April 2020 in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump, Oshi no Ko tells the story of an obstetrician who finds out that his favourite idol, Ai Hoshino, is secretly pregnant. Being a loyal fan, he promises to keep it secret from everyone. However, on the day Ai is supposed to give birth, the obstetrician is murdered by an unknown assailant. Surprisingly, he is reincarnated as one of Ai’s twin children, Aquamarine Hoshino. Now, Aquamarine spends his day together with his favourite idol while looking for the truth about his murderer, who probably has ties with Ai’s secret husband. The story is written by Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama: Love is War, Sayonara Piano Sonata manga adaptation) while the art is drawn by Mengo Yokoyari (Scum’s Wish). Three collected volumes have been released at the time of this writing.
The Irregular at Magic School is a light novel series by Tsutomu Satou which tells the story of a pair of siblings, Tatsuya and Miyuki Shiba, in a magic school with updated technologies in using magics. But in that school, the two are admitted to different classes, where the younger Miyuki is admitted into the talented class while the older Tatsuya is admitted into the regular class. The light novel series is illustrated by Kana Ishida and has been published by Dengeki Bunko since 2008. The manga adaptation of the novel’s Enrollment Arc is written by Fumino Hayashi (Neon genesis Evangelion Angelic Days manga) and drawn by Tsuna Kitaumi (Magical☆Antique) and was serialized in Square Enix’s GFantasy and ends with four volumes.
