Book publisher Elex Media Komputindo will ship Samurai X Hokkaido Arc manga to Indonesian bookstores on 4 January 2023. The manga comes with a suggested retail price of IDR 50,000 (about US$ 3.21).

Samurai X Hokkaido Arc is the direct sequel of the Samurai X (Also known as Rurouni Kenshin) manga series. The original series tells a story of an assassin who is participating in the Boshin War. His skill at killing earned him the nickname “Hitorikiri Battosai” or “Battosai the Manslayer”. However, he disappears after the war to become Kenshin Himura, a wandering swordsman and pacifist who protects the people of Japan.
The sequel, Samurai X Hokkaido Arc, is set four years after the ending of the original manga. After getting married to Kaoru Kamiya, Kenshin hears rumors of Kaoru’s father being alive in Hokkaido, even though he should be dead after the Seinan war. Kenshin, Kaoru, and other dojo members head to Hokkaido to confirm this news. However, they encounter a mysterious group called the Kenkaku Heiki, who aim to create havoc throughout Japan.
