On Tuesday (30/7), Indonesian video game developer Arsanesia announced the Steam page for their latest video game Garden of Wandering Souls. The release date of the game has not been announced yet.

The Steam page mentions Garden of Wandering Souls as a tower defence game with rogue-lite deckbuilder elements. Set in a world called Astarum, the player will use a set of cards to strategize and guide the lost souls to their resting place. 

Here’s the game feature listed on its Steam page:

  • Be the Compass for the Souls: Deploy towers (Daimon) to draw in and guide lost souls, helping them find their way out.
  • Maze-like Garden that Changes Frequently: Experience unique and unpredictable challenges with procedurally generated maps, ensuring every playthrough is unique.
  • Guide the Vengeful Souls: Some souls will test your strategic and adaptability skills as they are tougher to guide than others.
  • Plan and Adapt Your Path and Towers: Plan your defense with various towers (Daimon), drawing from a deck of random cards.
  • Keep Your Hand: You can save your card for later use, giving you greater control over your strategy.
  • Failing is Not the End: Enjoy the excitement of permadeath combined with a rewarding progression system. Unlock new towers, abilities, and upgrades as you master the game.
  • Multiple Game Mode: After completing the main story, challenge yourself further with the Daily Challenge Mode.

The game is also listed on Steam’s Tower Defense Fest, a special online festival held by Steam to promote the tower defence game.

Arsanesia is an Indonesian game studio based in Bandung, West Java. They are known for developing various games including Project Unseek, Si Juki: Warteg Gaya Baru, which is based on the Si Juki character by Faza Meonk, and Summer Town.
