On Thursday (8/8), Indonesian video game studio 4Happy Studio officially launched their game, Let Me Out, on Steam. The game is launched in collaboration with PID Games, a subsidiary of French video game publishers Plug In Digital.
Formerly known as Who is He: Let Me Out, the game follows the story of Alvin, a young indigo boy trapped in a disturbing situation: All the people who live in his village have been killed, leaving Alvin as the only survivor. Without knowing the perpetrator, Alvin has to uncover the truth behind the events while attempting to escape the village. Along the way, Alvin also seeks to learn what happened to his mother.
The game features a variety of puzzles that Alvin must solve to complete his mission and escape. Throughout the adventure, Alvin is helped by the ghost of his sister, Jane, and his pet spider, Poko. However, his journey is challenged by malevolent spirits that try to hinder his progress. Players must help Alvin create potions to fend off these supernatural entities and continue his quest.
Let Me Out is the first major project from 4Happy Studio, an indie studio based in Batam, Indonesia, that also specializes in other multimedia projects like games, software, and animation. Initially, the game was planned to be released in 2019 under the tile Who Is He?, with the teaser trailer first released in 2018.
