Previously, it was announced that Anime Festival Asia (AFA) is set to return to Indonesia after six years hiatus. The 2024 event of Anime Festival Asia Indonesia (AFAID) will be held from 3 to 5 May 2024 at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Jakarta.
In the past few weeks, the organizer has announced the singers that will guest starred the event. Those artists are:

Kobo Kanaeru is an Indonesian Vtuber who is currently active on YouTube. She is a third-generation member of hololive ID, a virtual talent agency owned by Cover Ltd. As of 5 April 2024, she has 2.37 million subscribers on YouTube, making her the most subscribed Virtual YouTuber in Southeast Asia. As a singer, she already released five singles, including Help!!, Mantra Hujan, Oh! Asmara, Entah.., and Sebatas Video Call.

Sayuri is a Japanese singer and songwriter who was born in Fukuoka, Japan. She gained popularity for performing theme songs for various anime series, including My Hero Academia, Lycoris Recoil, and Golden Kamuy. She’s currently working under Ariola Japan, a Japanese record label that is part of Sony Music Entertainment Japan.

Ayaka Ohashi is a Japanese voice actress and singer. She is known as the voice actress of Saya Yamabuki from BanG Dream! series, Uzuki Shimamura in The iDOLM@STER: Cinderella Girls, and Aki Adagaki in Masamune-kun’s Revenge. She also has released various studio albums and singles.

nano is a Japanese-American singer who started her career in music on YouTube and Niconico. She’s known for providing the soundtrack for various anime television series like BTOOM, Arpeggio of Blue Steel, and Hidan no Aria. This is not her first performance in Indonesia. Previously, nano is presented as the guest star of AFAID 2016 and J-Series Festival 2017.

Who-ya Extended is a Japanese music group, signed to Sacra Music under Sony Music Entertainment Japan. Their main member consists of the vocalist Who-ya while the other members are changed depending on the songs. They are known for providing soundtracks for various anime series, including Jujutsu Kaisen, and Psycho Pass.

Shuka Saito is a Japanese voice actress and singer who is best known for her role as You Watanabe in Love Live! Sunshine. As a voice actress of Love Live!, she’s also a member of their idol unit Aquors. In 2019, she made her solo debut as a musician under Sacra Music with the release of her mini album Kutsuhimo. Other than Love Live!, she also provides the soundtrack for Oresuki.

ASCA is a Japanese singer known for providing theme songs for various anime series, such as Sword Art Online: Alicizitaion, The Pet Girl of Sakurasou, Darwin’s Game, FATE/Apocrypha, and many others. She first gained recognition for becoming the finalist of the 5th Animax All-Japan Anisong Grand Prix in 2011, a competition that was won by Konomi Suzuki. She’s currently signed to Sacra Music under Sony Music Entertainment Japan.

ClariS is a Japanese pop music duo currently consisting of Clara and Karen. Their initial line-up consisted of the duo Clara and Alice. In 2016, Alice left the group and Karen was introduced as the new member of the group. ClariS gained recognition for performing theme songs for Puella Magi Madoka Magica, OreImo, and Nisekoi. Over the years, they have released numerous albums, singles, and collaborations, earning a dedicated fanbase worldwide.
Kobo Kanaeru, Sayuri, Ayaka Ohashi, Liyuu, and nano will be presented in the AFAID 2024 I ❤️ Anisong concert on Saturday, 4 May 2024. ClariS, Sangatsu no Phantasia, ASCA, Shuka Saito, and Who-ya Extended will be presented at the Sacra Music Fes which will be held on Sunday, 5 May 2024.
Anime Festival Asia Indonesia is one of Indonesia’s major Japanese pop culture events. Organized by SOZO, the event has been guest-starred by numerous Japanese music artists like May’n, BABYMETAL, FLOW, and many more. AFAID has also invited voice actors/actresses, virtual talents, anime production staff, cosplayers, and many anime industry insiders to their event.
The last AFA held in Indonesia took place in 2018. The event was guest-starred by the virtual YouTuber Kizuna Ai, Singer Megumi Nakajima, Cosplayer Ola Aphrodite, music group EGOIST, Japanese seiyuu Sora Tokui, and many more.
