Anime Festival Asia (AFA)Â is set to return to Indonesia in 2025. The AFAID 2025 event will take place from 6 to 8 June 2025 at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC).
The 2025 edition marks the 9th edition of AFAID. Organized by SOZO, the 2024 AFAIDÂ event featured various Japanese music artists like ClariS, Sayuri, nano, and Many More. In the previous years, AFAID has also hosted seiyuu, virtual talents, cosplayers, and anime production staff.
Here are the highlights of the AFAID 2025 events:
I LOVE ANISONG Concert: This year, AFAID invited a variety of Japanese artists such as Daoko, DEMONDICE, Eir Aoi, KAF, Liyuu, TeddyLoid, and towana, the vocalist of fhána.
Studio Ghibli Symphony: The 2025 AFAID will also hold a musical performance featuring original singers from beloved Studio Ghibli films—Yoshikazu Mera, Sumi Shimamoto, Azumi Inoue, and Yuyu—accompanied by the Tokyo Asia Orchestra.
Anime Showcase and Special Contents: The visitors can enjoy exclusive appearances by anime production staff. Titles being showcased include Tougen Anki, DAN DA DAN, Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid animated feature, and KAMITSUBAKI STUDIO’s anime debut.
Meet and Greet Sessions with Japanese Seiyuu: The visitor will have the chance to meet Shion Wakayama, Kazuki Ura, and Yuuki Kuwahara in the meet-and-greet session.
Cosplay Showcase: Cosplayers like Baobao, Thames Malerose, Weian Vann, and YingTze will participate in the event. Just like the seiyuu, the cosplayers will also have their own meet-and-greet sessions.
Akiba Town: The event will also exhibit the booths operated by companies from the anime Industry. Some of the booths include the MIKU EXPO 10th Anniversary booth, Bocchi the Rock Pop Up Store, Muse Communication booth, Kyou Hobby Shop and many more.
Game On! Zone: Experience the latest in Japanese gaming with demo areas, trading card game tournaments, and special showcases from Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia and Cookie Run Braverse TCG.
AFA Creators Hub Partners with Niconico Chokaigi for Asia Creators Cross!: AFA Creators Hub teams up with Niconico Chokaigi to launch a collaborative platform for artists. Dubbed Asia Creators Cross (ACC), this initiative will showcase independent artists from Japan and Southeast Asia.
AFAID 2025 Ticketing Information
For AFAID 2025, the limited early bird packages sold out within a day of release. However, pre-sale tickets are still available, and general admission tickets will be available on the event day. Here is the full information of the tickets:
- Exhibition Ticket: Grants access to the exhibition hall, including exhibitor booths, Akiba Stage, Creators Hub, Cosplay Hub, Food Street, and more.
- Exhibition and Stage Ticket: Grants access to both the exhibition and stage halls. The stage hall features exclusive licensed content, international guests, and special programming.
- Concert GA/VIP Seated Ticket: Grants access to the exhibition, the stage, and the concert hall. The concert hall will hold the I LOVE ANISONG concert on Saturday and the Studio Ghibli Symphony Music Orchestra on Sunday. Concert VIP ticket holders will get a seat closer to the concert stage.
