Japanese pop culture event organizer Japan Culture Daisuki announced they will hold their first event in Jakarta. Titled Chibicon Jakarta, the event will be held at the SMESCO Exhibition Hall on 18 August 2024.
On their social media, Japan Culture Daisuki also announced the guest stars of Chibicon Jakarta event. Among them are two Vtubers from AKA Virtual, Harris Caine and Mikazuki Arion, and an international guest star LadyBeard.
LadyBeard, whose real name is Richard Magarey, is an Australian singer who is active as an idol in Japan. LadyBeard initially started his career as a pro wrestler and stuntman, appearing in various films and wrestling promotions including the Japanese-based wrestling promotion DDT Pro-Wrestling. LadyBeard’s idol career began when he joined the Japanese idol group LadyBaby in 2015 before moving to another idol group Deadlift Lolita in 2017. Currently, he’s an active member of BabyBeard, an idol group he created in 2021.
Established in 2012, Japan Culture Daisuki is a Japanese pop culture event organizer based in Malang, East Java. Japan Culture Daisuki has been organizing some well-known Japanese pop culture events in various cities in East Java and Bali, including 2014 Daisuki Japan! Wonderpop Matsuri event which guest-starred by Japanese anisong singer Mika Kobayashi.
