On Friday (6/12), the X (formerly Twitter account) of Elex Media’s comic editor posted a list of the publisher’s ten best-selling comic books in November 2024. Jujutsu Kaisen volume 17 takes first place, followed by DAN DA DAN volume 1 and Sakamoto Days volume 12 in the second and third place respectively.

Written and illustrated by Gege Akutami, Jujutsu Kaisen manga tells the story of Yuji Itadori, a student who lives in a world where negative energy called Curse can bring disaster to the world. Itadori’s life changed as he became a student at a school that trains Curse exterminators. The manga has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump since March 2018. The manga also received an anime adaptation, which aired in October 2020.

DANDADAN tells the story of Momo, a girl born into a family of psychics, and her friend, Okarun, who is an occult maniac. The two start talking after Momo helps Okarun when he’s bullied. However, a disagreement breaks out between them because Momo doesn’t believe in aliens while Okarun doesn’t believe in ghosts. Later to prove their point, Momo goes to the hospital’s ruins where the UFO appeared, and Okarun goes to the haunted tunnel. There, the two encounter extraordinary entities that go beyond common sense.

The anime adaptation of DANDADAN is produced by Science Saru, directed by Fuuga Yamashiro, and scenario by Hiroshi Seko. In Indonesian, the anime is streamed on various streaming services, including Crunchyroll, Netflix, Muse Asia, Muse Indonesia, and Bstation.

Sakamoto Days tells the story of Taro Sakamoto, a former assassin who has retired from the killing business to marry his loved one. Once a feared assassin, Sakamoto has become a chubby neighbourhood dad who runs a convenience store. However, danger once again lurks around his neighbourhood, and Sakamoto promises to protect his family. But can he do that with his overweight body?
Sakamoto Days began its serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump on 21 September 2020. The manga was nominated at the 2021 Next Manga Awards for the Best Print Manga category and the 68th Shogakukan Manga Award for the shounen category. In Indonesia, the manga is also available digitally on Shueisha’s digital manga platform Manga Plus.
