Comments

With an omnibus format, the first episode of Tsuredure Children tells four separate stories in 12 minutes. All stories revolve around a love problem between two characters, but with different focus. While it means every skit only gets three minutes each, their respective conflicts are clear. In one skit, the conflict revolves on how the character isn’t brave enough to confess her feeling. In another skit however, a couple can easily say “I love you” but it doesn’t means they are officially in a relationship (why? just watch).

Their conversations feel like manzai routine: fast paced dialogue between two characters, a character will sprouts some jokes while the other reacts. Fortunately, those dialogues are quite interesting and flow nicely. It is also executed really well, bringing some laughs and smiles. Simple color design and flat shading make this anime feels quite relaxing. With its relative short duration and cute but fun romance story, Tsuredure Children is recommended for viewers who are looking for simple and relaxing entertainment about high school love.
