The Japan Foundation, Jakarta (JF Jakarta) in collaboration with Wacom Indonesia is going to hold an online illustration class with illustrator Naoki Saito. The class will be streamed on JF Jakarta’s YouTube channel on Sunday, 24 October 2021 from 1500 to 1600 West Indonesia Time (UTC+7). Participants can also register through the link provided in the event poster.
Saito will share techniques and tips to make character and illustration look more interesting using example taken from one of the entries submitted for June’s Jakarta Japan Matsuri 2021 event. The Indonesia Country Manager of Wacom Singapore Pte Ltd, Rick Firdian Prayudisia, is also going to be present as moderator.
A graduate of Tama Art University, Naoki Saito had worked for a game company before becoming a freelance illustrator. He has been the main illustrator of Dragalia Lost video game series and colorist for the manga Baki. Saito also runs a YouTube channel where he shares drawing techniques and tips.
