On Saturday (31/12), Indonesian book publisher Elex Media Komputindo posted a list of their best-selling comics in 2022. Spy X Family volume 6 takes first place, followed by Jujutsu Kaisen volume 5 and Detektif Conan volume 100 in second and third place.

Illustrated by Tatsuya Endo, Spy x Family tells the story of a spy who works under the codename Twilight. His latest mission is to approach the extremely cautious politician Donovan Desmond by infiltrating his son’s school. To do that, Twilight has to put together a (phony) family with an orphan girl named Anya as a (phony) daughter and an ordinary civil servant named Yor as a (phony) wife. The manga has been serialized on Shueisha’s Shounen Jump+ website and app since March 2019 with the English version released simultaneously on Shueisha’s Manga Plus website and app.
Written and illustrated by Gege Akutami, Jujutsu Kaisen manga tells the story of Yuji Itadori, a student who lives in a world where negative energy called Curse can bring disaster to the world. Itadori’s life changed as he becomes a student at a school that trains Curse exterminators. The manga is serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump since March 2018. The manga also had received an anime adaptation, which began airing in October 2020.
Written and illustrated by Gosho Aoyama, Detektif Conan has been serialized in Shogakukan‘s Weekly Shounen Sunday Magazine since 1994. The story follows a high school detective named Shinichi Kudo whose body has been shrunk by a poison created by a mysterious organization. While the organization assumes he has been killed, Shinichi disguises himself as a kid named Conan Edogawa, solving criminal cases while investigating the mysteries behind that organization.
Elex Media Komputindo is a comics publisher under the Kompas-Gramedia Group. The publisher releases licensed foreign comics, including manga and Indonesian comics. Since 2005, Elex Media also published comics that were intended for adult audiences under the new imprint called Level Comics.
