It was previously reported that Indonesian game developer Gamecom Team is currently developing the sequel of Troublemaker. Titled Troublemaker 2: Beyond Dream, the game will tell the story of the first game’s characters after they graduate from high school.
During the Gamers to Gamers Festival event hosted by The Lazy Monday, the Gamecom Team also released a special trailer for the game Troublemaker 2: Beyond Dream. The new trailer shows more gameplay clips of the game, while also focusing on “Dream vs drugs” theme of the story.
The story of Troublemaker 2 is set after the story of the first game. While the sequel still maintains its beat-’em-up gameplay, it also incorporates the open-world element inspired by games such as the Ryu Ga Gotoku (Yakuza) series. The game will tell the story of two main characters: Budi, the protagonist of the first game, and Jordan, a new character in the series.
Troublemaker 2: Beyond Dream will be released in 2025. You can wishlist the game now on Steam.
Based in Jakarta, the first Troublemaker is the third game developed by the Gamecom Team after A Day Without Me and Babol: The Box Adventure. Previously, A Day Without Me was nominated as Indonesia’s favourite game in the 2020 Indonesia Gaming Award.
