On Sunday (14/6), Aniplus Asia announced that they have licensed Rich Girl Caretaker: I’m Secretly the Caregiver of the Most Popular Girl in This Rich Kid School. The series is scheduled to premiere on Aniplus Asia channels and platform during the Summer 2026 anime season and will be broadcast on the same day as its Japanese airing schedule.
Adapted from a light novel written by Yusaku Sakaishi and illustrated by Sakura Miwabe, Rich Girl Caretaker follows Itsuki Tomonari, a high school student from a poor family who is abandoned by his parents. Facing financial difficulties, Itsuki’s life takes an unexpected turn after he encounters Hinako Konohana, the daughter of a wealthy family. He subsequently transfers to Hinako’s prestigious school and begins working as her personal caretaker.
The series began as a web novel posted on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website between April 2020 and October 2021, before Hobby Japan began publishing it in print under their HJ Bunko imprint in May 2021. A manga adaptation illustrated by Sorahiko Mizushima began serialisation on Hobby Japan’s Comic Fire website in July 2021.
Aniplus is a television channel which specializes in airing anime, both completed series and series that are still ongoing in Japan. The channel is available in various Southeast Asian countries, including Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, and the Philippines.
