I realized that this fall, there are so many idol-themed shows: : Love Live Sunshine, Tsukipro, Wake up Girls, Dynamic Chord, Dream Festival and None Others: Idolm@ster SideM. I’ve been waiting the anime for a while. The reasons why I really looking forward to it are the costumes are easily cosplayable and the series itself are pretty popular without to explain what cosplay from what series is.

The first episode are quite light and ganbarimasu compared to the 0 episode. Well, it’s IdolM@ster, it always start slow and cheerfully and the conflicts are heavy but will not burdening the viewers. One thing that I noticed compared to other idol-themed anime is SideM is accomodating male viewers instead of female-only. Most idol series tends to accomodating male or female viewers only. All in all, IdolM@ster SideM is very enjoyable for both male and female audiences.

We are 315!!

THE iDOLM@STER SideM anime is finally here, and it’s making a presence with its solid opening episode. Character introductions feels simple yet effective, helping to make newcomers feel right at home. Veteran fans may notice some easter eggs placed throughout the episode, making a perfect material for SideM lore discussion. While the first half pretty much introduces us to some of the characters, the second half focuses more on the chemistry between Teru, Tsubasa, and Kaoru. Kaoru tends to distance himself from Teru and Tsubasa, but it’s clear that he’s not completely shutting off both of them and being an egotistic jerk. SideM is also full of goofy faces and scenes with deformed characters, giving off a lighter and playful tone compared to Cinderella Girls and THE iDOLM@STER.

For cable TV users, you can watch THE iDOLM@STER SideM over at Aniplus, since they are simulcasting the show every week.
