On Monday (17/8), Japanese webcomic platform Comico announced that they will cease operations on 6 January 2027.
Comico is a Japanese digital comics platform known for publishing webcomics that have subsequently received anime adaptations. Some of the notable webcomics that received adaptations are Recovery of an MMO Junkie, ReLIFE, Momokuri, and many more.

The platform had previously operated in various regions outside Japan, including Taiwan, South Korea, Thailand, and Indonesia. However, the company’s operation in Indonesia ended in September 2019.
Following the closure, works that users have previously purchased through the platform will remain available to view through the e-bookstore Mecha Comic. Further details regarding the transition and access to purchased works are expected to be provided by the platform.
