Chaos began when people, specifically soldiers called the Getsugazoku who have special powers like turning into a vampire or a werewolf, fight for their land. These soldiers of different species would put their life on the line and fight as they follow their own thoughts and ideals. Until one day, a mysterious lady named Yuzuki suddenly came from another dimension. She bears a mysterious power to give strength, healing, and to awake Jingazoku’s real form. Can Yuzuki stop the war?

Feeling tired with isekai anime with male leads? Sengoku Night Blood can probably offer an alternative. Set in the Sengoku era, warriors like Nobunaga or Hideyoshi aren’t only portrayed as handsome looking ikemen, but also as a part of Getsugazoku, a mysterious race that consists of vampires and werewolves. It makes Sengoku Night Blood feels like a mix of isekai anime and popular teenage romance series Twilight Saga.
Not much has happened in terms of story. Just like other isekai story, Yuzuki was suddenly transported to another world, and after meeting some Getsugazoku, they found out that Yuzuki has a special power: awaken Getsugazoku‘s true power with her blood. It makes her position in getsougazoku special. The action scenes are pretty good, but inconsistent. The earlier part of the battle looks cool, but it goes downhill in the end of episode.
In short, Sengoku Night Blood is an isekai anime that seems to be targeted to woman demographics. If the mix of isekai story and Twilight Saga is your cup-of-tea, check it out.
