Previously, it was reported that the first Free! Timeless Medley film, Free! – Timeless Medley – The Bond is set to be released in Indonesia on 25 April 2018. However, on Friday (23/3), Encore films social media account has announced that the release date for the film has been rescheduled to 18 April 2018, a week earlier than the initially planned released date. Further information about which cinema chains will screen the film has yet to be revealed.

Free! is an anime series directed by Hiroko Utsumi. The anime is adapted from a novel by Kōji Ōji, which was awarded honorable mention in Kyoto Animation Award contest in 2011. The first season of Free! aired in summer 2013, while the second season aired in summer 2014.
In 2015, it was announced that Free! will receive theatrical releases which include three films. The first and second films of the trilogy are titled Free! – Timeless Medley – Kizuna (Bond), and Free! – Timeless Medley – Yakusoku (Promise). The two-part films directed by Eisaku Kawanami retell the story of the original TV series and were released in April and July 2017, respectively. The third film, titled Free! – Take Your Marks, features a new story, and is directed again by Eisaku Kawanami. The film has been released in October 2017. The prequel film, titled High Speed! – Free! Starting Days, directed by Yasuhiro Takemoto (Hyouka), was released in December 2015, while the third season of the anime series is scheduled to air in July 2018.
