The fourth film of the Rebuild of Evangelion tetralogy, Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon A Time, will be screened in Indonesia. Film distributor Encore Films Indonesia announced that the film will hit theatres on 26 October 2022. Information on which specific cinema chains will screen the film has not been announced.
Directed by Hideaki Anno, the first two films of Rebuild of Evangelion tetralogy retells the original story of Neon Genesis Evangelion’s anime series, with a few changes. The third and fourth film act as the continuation of the anime story, depicting what happened 14 years after the ending of the second film. Originally planned to be released in 2015, the fourth film encountered production issues that delayed its release. The film was eventually released in Japan in March 2021. The film is currently available to stream in Indonesia via Amazon Prime Video streaming services since 13 August 2021.
