As previously reported, MAO, That Summer ~1959~ (Ano Natsu -1959-), and Actor Wannabe Endo-kun (Engi Mon Endo-kun) are among the new manga titles planned to be released by Indonesian comics publisher Elex Media Komputindo in 2021. On Saturday (5/6), the Twitter account of Elex Media’s editors of comics has released a sneak peek of the new comic books that are scheduled to be published in the second week of June 2021, which includes the first volumes of the two manga mentioned above. Actor Wannabe Endo-kun has actually been delayed from the first week of June.

A sneak peek of the translation for Actor Wannabe Endo-kun was also posted on Thursday (3/6) and confirms that the manga is printed on bookpaper, retailing for IDR 40,000 (about US$ 2.8). That Summer ~1959~ also retails for the same price.

Ashibi Fukui‘s That Summer ~1959~ tells about Houmiya High School’s ace pitcher Natsu Haigou, who gets sent back in time to 1959, the year his grandfather lead the school to win Koushien for the first time. The manga was serialized in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shounen Sunday in 2019 and finished in three volumes.

Kuroto’s Actor Wannabe Endo-kun is a comedy about Endou, who dreams of becoming a Hollywood star and practices his acting with anyone around. It is serialized in Square Enix’s Gangan Online and ends in two volumes.

Elex Media Komputindo is a comics publisher under the Kompas-Gramedia Group. The publisher releases licensed foreign comics, including manga, and also Indonesian comics. Since 2005, Elex Media also published comics that intended for adult audiences under the Level Comics imprint.
