As previously reported, Indonesian comics publisher m&c! has planned to release Fujita‘s Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku manga in Indonesia in June 2021. On 11 June, the Twitter account of m&c!’s comics editors have confirmed that the first volume of the manga will be shipped on 16 June 2021 as planned. The post also confirms that the first volume of Aoisei and Anajiro’s Revenge Club (Kyoushitsu Jibaku Club) is postponed to 30 June 2021 from its originally planned shipping date of 9 June. The two series are published under the Akasha label, m&c!’s imprint for manga for mature readers and both series will be printed on book paper with the former retailing for IDR 40,000 (about US$ 2.8) and the latter IDR 45,000 (about US$ 3.15).

Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku tells the story of Narumi Momose, an office lady who happens to be a closet otaku. After breaking up with her boyfriend who works in the same office, Narumi applies for a job at another office. In her new workplace, she met Hirotaka Nifuji, her childhood friend who is also an otaku. because being otaku was the reason Narumi broke up, she asks Hirotaka to keep her otaku hobby a secret. The manga was first posted as web manga on Pixiv in 2014 before getting serialized in 2015 on the digital manga platform Comic Pool. The anime adaptation has aired in spring 2018, animated by A-1 Pictures. m&c! had confirmed the license for Wotakoi in February of 2021 when it was already in the stage of editing.

Revenge Club revolves around a chain of bombings conducted by bullied students, while a group of survivors from a bombing at their junior high school class three years ago are searching for the accomplice of the bomber. The manga is published by Futabasha’s Action Comics label and finished in three volumes. m&c! has first teased the title on 4 April 2021, when at the time, the cover design was still using the title Class Bombing Club.

m&c! is an Indonesian comics publisher under the Kompas-Gramedia group. Other than publishing manga, the publisher also publishes Disney comics magazines, and books, Hong Kong martial arts comics, as well as Indonesian comics under the Koloni imprint. The publisher also has the Akasha imprint for mature comics and the Clover imprint for domestic and translated novels.
