On Wednesday Monday (8/2), Indonesian Film Distributors CBI Pictures announced that they will release Makoto Shinkai‘s latest film Suzume in Indonesia. The exact premiere date has not been announced.

On their social media, two Indonesian cinema chains CGV Cinemas Indonesia and Cinépolis Indonesia have confirmed to screen the film.

Suzume (Japanese title: Suzume no Tojimari) tells the story of Suzume Iwato, a girl from Kyushu who found a mysterious door in the mountain. Soon, other doors are appearing across Japan, and disaster will happen when the door opens. Because of this, Suzume has to embark on a journey to close all open doors.
For Suzume, Makoto Shinkai is credited as the director and scriptwriter. Japanese rock band RADWIMPS (Weathering With You, your name.) will handle the soundtrack with composer Kazuma Jinnouchi (Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045). Kenichi Tsuchiya (your name., Garden of Words) is credited as the animation director, while Takumi Tanju (5 Centimeters per Second, Garden of Words) is credited as the art director.
