On their official facebook account and site, the CGV Blitz cinema network stated they will be hosting an event entitled Japanese Film Festival 2015. Staged by The Japan Foundation, this event will screen several Japanese live action and animated films at the Grand Indonesia cinema of CGV Blitz .

The live action films include A Samurai Chronicle (2014) directed by Takashi Koizumi, The Kirishima Thing (2012) directed by Daihachi Yoshida, The Great Passage (2003) directed by Hideo Nakata, The Little House (2014) directed by Yoji Yamada, The Pearls of One Stone Man (2015) directed by Yuzo Asahara, and Being Good (2015) directed by Mipo O.

Aside from those films, The Japan Foundation also brought some animated films, including The Tale of Princess Kaguya (2013) directed by Isao Takahata, Evangelion 3.0: You Can (Not) Redo (2012) directed by Hideaki Anno, Giovanni’s Island (2014) directed by Mizuho Nishikubo, and Tamako-Love Story- (2014) directed by Naoko Yamada.

  • A Samurai Chronicle: November 26 & 28, 2015 (26 November for invitation only)
  • The Kirishima Thing: November 28 & 30, 2015
  • The Great Passage: November 27 & December 1, 2015
  • The Complex: November 27 & 28, 2015
  • The Little House: November 27 & 30, 2015
  • The Pearls Of The Stone Man: November 28 & 30, 2015
  • Being Good: November 27 & December 1, 2015

The following are the animated films screening schedule:

The Japanese Film Festival 2015 will only be held at CGV Blitz Grand Indonesia, Central Jakarta. It will be held from November 26 to December 1, 2015. For each film, viewers will be charged Rp 20.000 (about US$ 1.5) per ticket. There is no charge for the Short Animation Selection, but free tickets must still be obtained from the ticket box at least two hours before the screening. Further, on November 29, 2015, CGV Blitz Grand Indonesia will also be hosting an event entitled Open Exchange Event “Beyond Anime”.
