Cinema chain CGV Cinemas Indonesia will screen a Japanese anime film by Hiromasa Yonebayashi, Karigurashi no Arriety, or also known as The Secret World of Arrietty. It is planned to be screened at 12 cinemas of CGV for 3 days, on 23-25 February 2018.

The 12 cinemas are listed below:

Released in 2010 by Studio Ghibli as an adaptation of a 1952 novel by Mary Norton, The Borrowers, the film tells the story of small humanoid creatures who live secretly in human houses.

To commemorate the screening, a fan art competition is also being held with screening tickets and official merchandises as the prizes.

The screening of The Secret World of Arrietty itself is a continuation of the event called The World of Ghibli Jakarta on 10 August-17 September 2017, where several Ghibli films were screened in Indonesia such as Laputa: Castle in the Sky, When Marnie Was There, Arrietty, Kiki’s Delivery Service, Howl’s Moving Castle, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, Porco Rosso, Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea, Princess Mononoke, My Neighbor Totoro, dan Spirited Away. Moreover, an open exhibition which featured the films’ locations, characters, was held as well.
