As previously reported, Indonesian comics publisher m&c! has included Ito Junji – Best of Best Short Story Collection in its list of new manga titles to be released in 2021. In a weekly listing of new comic book releases, it has been revealed that the first volume of the manga is scheduled to be shipped on 3 February 2021. The manga is released under m&c!’s Akasha mature comics label, and book retailer Gramedia’s online shop lists the book with the retail price of IDR 68,000 (about US$ 4.8).
Ito Junji – Best of Best Short Story Collection contains ten short stories from the horror manga artist Junji Ito that was released by Shogakukan in 2019. It includes the fan favorite Enigma of Amigara Fault, as well as the stories Army of One, Human Chair (an adaptation of Ranpo Edogawa’s classic short story), Venus in the Blind Spot, The Licking Woman, Umezu Sensei and Me, Other Love of This World, The Possession of Professor Kirita, The Sad Tale of the Principal Post, and Memento.
m&c! has previously published Junji Ito’s Gyo in two volumes.
m&c! is a comics publisher under the Kompas-Gramedia group.
