On Sunday (15/3), Indonesian comics publisher m&c! has updated a list of comic books that are planned to be released in the month of March 2021. The updated list includes three new manga scheduled to be shipped in the third week of March 2021: The Evil Collection (Akudou Bunko), My Capricorn Friend (Yagiza no Yuujin), and the first volume of Look Forward for the Next Death Game (Jikai no Death Game ni Gokitai Kudasai). The Evil Collection and My Capricorn Friend, which are to be released under m&c!’s mature rated comics label Akasha and are listed with the retail price of IDR 38,000 (about US$ 2.63); while Look Forward for the Next Death Game is not, and is listed with the retail price of IDR 28,000 (about US$ 1.94).

Motoi Tanaka‘s The Evil Collection was serialized in Shueisha’s Miracle Jump magazine in 2016 and ends with one collected volume. m&c!’s synopsis of the book describes the story as follows:

A novelist suddenly disappears after his abnormal novel becomes a hit. Interested in his work, a newbie editor named Kodama Akisato looks for his whereabouts to get him back to write novels. The stories in the comic reveals people’s true selves when they “fall” because of overwhelming emotions; desire, jealousy, love, and hate.

My Capricorn Friend manga is an adaptation of Otsuichi‘s novella of the same name, drawn by Masaru Miyokawa. The manga was serialized in Shueisha’s online manga platform Shounen Jump+ and completed with one collected volume. The story tells about a high school boy named Yuuya Matsuda, who at one night crosses paths with his classmate Naoto Wakatsuki, carrying a bloodied bat implied to have been used to beat to death a delinquent who has been bullying Naoto. Feeling guilty of turning a blind eye to Naoto getting bullied, Yuuya decides this time he should help Naoto.

Perico‘s Look Forward for the Next Death Game was serialized in Shounen Jump+ and has finished with three collected volumes. The “death game comedy” follows Yomi Kawanaka, a former childcare worker who lost her job because her gloomy look scares the children, as she starts a new job at a company that operates death games. However, she frequently encounters the ultra-wealthy prodigious young child of Yatsubishi conglomerate, Shuichi Yatsubishi, who takes advantage of his wealth to clear Yomi’s death games.

m&c! is an Indonesian comics publisher under the Kompas-Gramedia group. Other than publishing manga, the publisher also publishes Disney comics magazines, and books, Hong Kong martial arts comics, as well as Indonesian comics under the Koloni imprint. The publisher also has the Akasha imprint for mature comics and the Clover imprint for domestic and translated novels.
