Book publisher Elex Media Komputindo will ship Bungo Stray Dogs, Kubo Won`t Let Me Be Invisible, and The Misfit of Demon King Academy manga to Indonesian bookstores on August 31, 2022. Bungo Stray Dogs and Kubo Won’t Let Me Invisible come with a suggested retail price of IDR 50,000 (about US$ 3.36), while The Misfit of Demon King Academy comes with a suggested retail price of IDR 36,000 (about US$ 2.42).
Written by Kafka Asagiri and illustrated by Sango Harukawa, Bungo Stray Dogs is a supernatural battle manga that features characters named after real-life literary figures. The main character of Bungo Stray Dogs is Atsushi Nakajima, an orphan who joins the Armed Detective Agency after encountering Osamu Dazai and Doppo Kunikida. The story sees Atsushi and the Agency become involved in conflicts with various organizations of special ability users. Bungo Stray Dogs has been serialized in Kadokawa’s Young Ace magazine since 2012 and has been collected into 22 volumes at the time of this writing.
Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible tells the story of Junta Shiraishi, a high school boy whose lack of presence makes him unnoticed by people around him. One person who does notice him is the girl who sits next to him, Nagisa Kubo, who likes to tease him. The manga is serialized in Shueisha’s Young Jump since 2019 and has been collected into nine volumes at the time of this writing. In Indonesia, the manga is also available digitally on Sueisha’s digital manga platform Manga Plus.
Written by Shu and Illustrated by Kayaharuka, The Misfit of Demon King Academy is an adaptation of a light novel with the same name. It tells a story of a demon king named Anos Voldigoad who is reincarnated 2,000 years after his death. Anos wishes to reincarnate in a peaceful world, but he ends up in a world that is too peaceful, so peaceful that lower-class hybrid demons became too weak to fight the injustice created by the royal demons. The manga was first serialized on Square Enix’s Manga UP! website in July 2018. However, the manga is discontinued after Kayaharuka passed away on July 6, 2021, because of pancreatic cancer.
