Synopsis
This anime tells the story of two high school girls: the short and exceptionally quick to anger Popuko, and the tall and much calmer Pipimi. Watch them as they do insane things and swear like sailors in this absurdist comedy, reference-and-meta-humour-filled anime POP TEAM EPIC.

Dany Muhammad – The Indonesian Anime Times
One thing for sure after the first episode: Pop Team Epic is an anime that is not afraid to give the middle finger to the viewers, both literally and figuratively.
Does that means it’s funny? It’s difficult to say, and opinions may vary. Some probably will find it funny, while others may think it’s vulgar and immature. But just like Inferno Cop, Pop Team Epic does away with comedy rules, or copyright rules, or any rules for that matter.
Honestly, what are we doing here?
