On Tuesday (20/10), Penerbit Haru has announced the plan to release the sixth book of the Kotenbu series in Indonesia. According to the post on Penerbit Haru’s social media, the sixth book will be titled Even Though I’m Told I Now Have Wings. Further details about the book price and release date has not been revealed yet.

Later on their post on social media, Penerbit Haru posted two versions of the book cover and ask readers to vote which cover that they like. Just like the previous Kotenbu book, the cover with the most vote is planned to be used as the official cover for the Indonesian release.

 

The sixth book, originally titled Imasara Tsubasa to Iwaretemo, was first published on 25 June 2016 and consists of six short stories which revolve around Oreki and the other classic literature club’s members. One of the short stories, Is the Mountain Sunny?, has already been adapted into the 18th episode of the anime, while the rest of the stories in the sixth book aren’t adapted yet.

First written in 2001 by Honobu Yonezawa, Kotenbu series focuses on the story of the classic literature club members. The classic literature club consists of 4 members: The main character Houtaro Oreki, the self-proclaimed “database” Satoshi Fukube, Oreki’s strict classmate Mayaka Ibara, and classic literature club president Eru Chitanda. Together, Oreki and other classic literature club members involved in some mysterious cases that happened in their school. Currently, the series consists of 6 volumes. A seventh novel has been confirmed by the author on Twitter.

The novel series has inspired an anime adaptation in 2012 by Kyoto Animation. The adaptation is titled Hyouka, which took the title of the first book. The series had also been adapted into a manga in 2012 and a live-action film that debuted in 2017. In Indonesia and some Asian countries, the anime could be watched legally on Muse Asia and Muse Indonesia YouTube channel.

In Indonesia, Penerbit Haru has published the other five novels in the series. The first novel is released in December 2017 with the Indonesian edition cover designed by Cynthia Yanetha and translation by Andry Setiawan.
