As previously reported, Indonesian TV station Rajawali Televisi (RTV) has announced that Anima Yell! will be broadcasted on the channel in January 2021. On Wednesday (20/1), RTV has further confirmed through a post on its official Instagram account that the anime series will start broadcasting on Friday, 22 January at 1730 West Indonesia Time (UTC+7).
Anima Yell! tells the story of Kohane Hatoya, a girl who always helps others but has a fear of heights. Inspired from seeing a cheerleading performance, Kohane sets out to form a cheer club when she enters high school, taking along her childhood friend Uki Sawatari and veteran cheerleader Hizume Arima. The anime is adapted from a four-panel (yonkoma) manga series with the same name by Tsukasa Unohana that was serialized in Manga Time Kirara Carat from February 2016 to August 2020, with five collected volumes in total. The anime adaptation was directed by Masako Sato at Doga Kobo and aired in fall 2018 season.
Anima Yell! will be broadcasted on RTV with Indonesian dub. Voice actress Leni M Tarra, who has previously voiced Sakamichi Onoda in the Indonesian dub of Yowamushi Pedal and Conan Edogawa in the Indonesian dub of Detective Conan on NET., has revealed in August 2020 on her Instagram that she is voicing Uki Sawatari in the dub. The other casts of the dub has not been revealed yet.
