Mahou Shoujo? Naria Girls

Nariada once was a green and prospectuous kingdom, but one day due to the attack from the Ice Queen, Nariada is no longer a beautiful place. In the midst of the crisis, prince of Nariada is being trapped by a frozen ice. To handle the crisis, Naria Warriors are needed to overcome fight the Ice Queen and restore the balance of Nariada. Animaru then goes to the human world to look for the chosen human to be Naria Warriors. One day, three middle-school girl, Urara, Iroha, and Hanabi are chosen as the Naria Warriors.

Although being titled as a Mahou Shoujo anime but this series showed something else aside from the girls who transformed to magical girls. This anime presented some MMD 3D visual and also some still frames image, and there’s also some comedy in this anime. This 8 minutes short anime showed some jokes from the three middle-schoolers. Comedy needed some context to be understood, and so with this anime since this anime showed the Japanese-style comedy. For those who understood the context you might found the funny side but for those who didn’t got the context, you might saw Inaho, Urara, and Hanabi talked some nonsense. Masou Gakuen HxH

One day, mankind was suddenly attacked from another world. Humans experienced the battle called First Cross-World Collision. Umpteen years pass, and when the Second Cross-World Collision begins, humans escaped into Floats – continents floating on the ocean – created for emergency evacuation, and started living there. One day, Kizuna Hida visited the Tactical Defense Academy Ataraxia on the Japanese Float due to a summons from his elder sister. There he meets Aine Chidorigafuchi, a girl fighting enemies from another world using the Heart Hybrid Gear Zeros. Kizuna is tossed around by the pretentious and sharp-tongued girl, but in order to refuel the energy of the Heart Hybrid Gear consumed by the battles with enemies from another world, he must perform lewd acts on her! With the future of mankind at stake, Kizuna performs lewd acts with various girls!!

On its first scene, the audience was presented with Kizuna performing lewd acts with Hayuru Himekawa to refuel her Hybrid Heart Gears energy. The scene occurs in a room similar to a Love Hotel with a mood like a scene in Hentai Anime. This anime lies in the borderline between Ecchi Anime and Hentai Anime, which is not safe if watching it in an open space like a family room. Fanservice element has a significant role in this Anime. If the fanservice elements are removed, this show won’t feel complete. Characters designed by Hisasi perfectly matches the concept that was created by the writer. The scene where Kizuna is doing lewd act with Aine is shown in great detail. This scene especially made this anime in the borderline between Ecchi and Hentai. If you want good fanservice, this anime is a correct choice. But please take a look at your neighbours before watching it. (Andira Indrawan/KAORI Shop)

Mob Psycho 100

In a world where spirits and human live together, Psychics are the ones who connect and negotiate between two worlds if something were to happen. Shigeo is middle-schooler, but most importantly he is also a Psychic. Led by his arguably decent teacher Arataka Reigen, Shigeo goes through his exorcism experiences with encountering many kinds of spirits. As the title suggests, Shigeo has unrevealed thing about what happens when his power “reach” 100%.

It may seem a little too familiar hearing word “supranatural” in anime culture. We have GeGeGe no Kitaro, Binbougami ga and many other shows that making supranatural as its own theme. Mob Psycho 100 also brings this up, and in its pilot episode we get to be mainly introduced with these two characters that both are so good at delivering the comedy. The jokes have more substance than just weird people doing exaggerating things, but that’s just one. The artstyle is also different than its “predecessor” anime One Punch Man in terms of coloring and all, and I think this what makes it a good thing. We learn about a thing or two of what the anime goes towards, but I hope they don’t really take the story more seriously and take the fun out of them. As the one who hasn’t read the manga, this expectation is perfectly sensible. I watched One Punch Man and it was very good, especially whenever they just goof around with superhero theme and don’t proceed to more shonen-esque plot. I hope the same thing to occur to Mob Psycho 100 throughout the show, in this case with ghosts and spirits. (Daniel Ageng Satrio/The Indonesian Anime Times)

Momokuri

One day, a first year high school student named Shinya Momotsuki (Momo) found a love letter in his shoe box. That love letter came from a cute second year named Yuki Kurihara, who later confessed her feeling to Momo. Momo, who have zero experience in romance, chose to accept her feeling, and they started dating. At first glance, Kurihara looks like a normal girl. However, she is actually really obsessed with Momo, which sometimes make her best friend, Norika Mizuyama, worried. Will their relationship lasts long?

Adapted from a webtoon by Kurose, for a romance, Momokuri is best described as a vanilla. Momo and Kurihara look like a normal couple who awkwardly flirt each other. But behind her innocent smile, Kurihara is also severely obsessed with Momo. Sometimes her obsessive nature makes her act like a stalker. While it seems scary, this side of her usually leads to comedic moments, making this lighthearted vanilla romance feel funnier. (Dany Muhammad/Indonesia Anime Times)

New Game

Aoba Suzukaze is a fresh high-school graduate who just start her job. Not long after she graduate from school, she get a job in a game company called Eagle Jump. Eagle Jump is the company which create her favorite game since Elementary, Fairy Stories. In this company, Aoba meets with other working partners who have some unique personality. Aoba’s life as an adult who just got her first job is about to start.

There had been some anime which had a story about Japan creative industries such as Shirobako, an anime about anime Industry and also Sore ga Seiyuu, an anime about voice acting and entertainment industries. In this season, there also an anime about what’s behind Japan gaming industry, New Game! Although it had about a game company and some work about it as a background story, but the first episode of New Game! Showed about the career life, it mainly focused on how each employees met and interacted with each other, more like a drama about some working girls in their office. Being produced by Doga Kobo animation studio, New Game! Still presented some great and fluid animation which could built up the atmosphere, especially the expressions of each character. This anime also had colorful and cheerful coloring. New Game! Might be an option for you who look for some anime with no any complex and complicated story, this is an anime about the everyday lives of girls who worked in a game company.
