Indie game developer Mushroomallow has officially launched the Steam page for their latest visual novel project, Ookami Okami. Developed as part of Otome Jam 2025, the developer describes the game as a slow-burn romance isekai visual novel set in a world inspired by Japanese folklore.
In Ookami Okami, players take on the role of Akine, a former innkeeper who wakes up in the Spirit Realm with a new youthful body and a mission: helping Shimon restore his run-down hot spring inn. The story spans approximately 45,000 words with over five hours of content and features eight beautifully illustrated CGs.

Based in Indonesia, Mushroomallow is a video game studio specialising in creating visual novels and heartwarming games. They’re known as the developer of EDDA Cafe, the game which earned a Jury’s Honorable Mention at the 2021 Gamescom Asia’s Asia Game Awards and won the Fan Favorite category at the 2021 Game Developer Championship.
