Comments

When reading the synopsis written above, many reader will think that SukaSuka will become a pure action-packed fantasy anime series. However, behind it’s cheerful (and usual) fantasy setting, the anime set the “somber” tone through two operatic song sung by Yamada Tamaru (“Always in My Heart” and “Scarborough Fair“, a folk song from England) in earlier part of the episode.

The first episode focuses to introducing the relationship between Willem, Chtholly and the girls who lives in the residence on Island 68. The various clues about the mysteries have been successfully deployed and ready to be explored in the upcoming episodes, such asthe “weapon girls” and the fate of the other humans in the world. With the mystery as well as the dramatic atmosphere that has been built through the music and key visual, SukaSuka has the potential to become an anime series with a heartwarming (if not tearjerking) story this season.
