The anime is produced by White Fox studio, which also handles popular anime adaptation such as Re:Zero and Steins; Gate, which is one of the main draw for me to watch it. In addition, Inori Minase also plays one of the main characters (Chito) in this anime. At the start of the first episode, Chito and Yuuri are shown driving a Kettenkrad, a motor-like vehicle that has an auxiliary module with a wagon and treads like those used in tanks.
The design of the characters remind me of Made in Abyss, with cute and rounded face. Where kids are adventuring in a pretty dangerous and distopian world. By the time Chito having a dream, she seemed to remember the past, where she and Yuuri received a key from someone at wartime. A prologue that may be enough to be a fragment of the direction of the storyline.
